Return to Eden

Yup here we are!

Wednesday, August 24

Hellö there!
We are now in Austria where we waiting on friends (Ness and Byrna) arriving from Australia and then we go back to Italy for the Northern half! making our way to Rome which will be fantastic.
David and I have been reading Dan Brown's books Angels and Demons - set in Rome and I am half way through The Da Vinci Code - set in Paris. They are fantastic and very believable! and can you believe that Davo is reading books- crazy huh!?
On to London on the 16Th to catch up with my dad and probably to tour around there for a while and to see Marho and the Paddenburg family in Brighton!
Maybe we buy a bus/ van of sorts! The train system has shredded us. We waited 6 hrs for our train to Innsbruck from Rome a couple of days ago.... uuuggghhhh was supposed to leave at 9.30 PM but left after 3AM instead....
but at least we had good books to read! and I am addicted to Sudouk. Don't know if they in Aussie yet but its basically a number puzzle like a cross word..... frustratingly great!
And hope to catch Mr. Hughes in London town..... if he is still out there it seems he never replies to any of my emails!!!! hint, hint, Guy!
Hoping to also catch up with Gabby when we get to Holland not sure when yet but will be wanting to see you!
Olli very sorry the Munich thing didn't work out... we may have been washed away!!! we will just have to come see you in USA??? got to see Leah J and Tim!
or Aussie next year... if we are there??? oh i know I am torturing everyone aren't I hahahahahaha!
Lisa and Lach CONGRATS on your baby Juliette she is beautiful- Rosy sent me a picture! fantastic

the water we wanted in Egypt!

We are in Innsbruck, Austria and the rivers are flooding ya?!

Thursday, August 18

Where are we? What are we up to?

Hey there everybuggy!
We finally made it out of Dahab safely and back to Greece where we hung for a day or so and departed from our fellow travellers Katy and Handy... See you guys in less than a week i think! Will be catching up with them and Ness and Byrne in Austria! for a northern Italian tour. Looking forward to that!
But at the moment we are in the land of- amazing good cheap wine, awesome coffee- cheaper if you have it at the bar and not sit down style, food that is just like (David's) Norna's cooking , expensive everything, out of control internet prices somebody tell them their dreamin!, fantastic leather shoes, mad drivers- worse than Egypt! if thats possible, BIG sunnies -on Blokes and Chicks- ladies wearing shorts- (knicker bocker/pantaloon style - not for me, been there did that 25 years ago!) with high heals, guys wearing half grown mohawks and hippy tee shirts (trust me they are all sOOOo in this summer!) beautiful young people and some ugly oldies too! Did I mention expensive? Land of the vespa/ moped.
Yes thats right Italy!
Its wonderful we got to Naples and the first thing we did was buy us a tent as camping is a cheaper option than hostels and hotels. The first night was a little rough sleeping but after we bought a purple lilo each everything is bellisimo! Set for sleep and lazy days in the water!
Went to resort town of Sorrento- postcards are in the mail! Had a fantastic veiw of Mt. Vesuvio. Hired a moped for 6 days, climbed Mt. V. and had a beer up there! both had a cold for 2 days, generally just hung out and cruised the Almalfi coast, beautifully unique but wouldnt want to live there.
Now have made our way down to Sicily, tomorrow we go to Mt. Etna which is supposed to be more inpressive than the other and still smoking and spitting larva and rocks on occasions! Sorry its a shorty but its also too expensive!
