Return to Eden

Yup here we are!

Sunny Britian!

Ha!
yeah right!
Now I know why I have been lugging around that big polar fleece of mine.
I was asking myself for a while there in Egypt- why do I have this???
Yep we are here in Mother England??!! Where winter is finally on our tail. And so are the customs officers. I swear they do not like Aussies- ( and Stupid them, let us through hee hee haha Hurray!!!)

Well, put it this way after 10 months (yes thats right 10 months) of fun lovin summer I am offically over it! I am glad the weather is cooler, I have very much had enough of sweating... although Nick keeps telling me and Davo that if we wanna get fit and shape up we have to do some weird thing called "exercise" and apparently that makes you sweat... Hhhmmmm David is sure there is another way! But I am pretty sure its not drinking snake bites* or beer,Davo!
* strange english drink of half lager, half cider and a splash of black current (like ribena)- oh in a pint glass of course. Yes, very good and Yes, got me (and others) very wasted.... uuurrggghh thought I was not gonna do that again! What is that I say about respectable people in a minute?

Anyhoo we spent the first 2 weeks with my Dad. Which was very cool. Dad hired a car, I navagated; Davo drove. Good work all round i reckon!
So off we went across to Avesbury- Loads of stones placed in a large circle around a town, stones put there by aliens, town by some country folk! -Depending on who you want to believe!,
StoneHenge- again same deal but just in a large amazing ceremonial circle this time no township, with pin point direct lines to Avebury, strange; but true. On to Gladstonbury, Salisbury (Hippy towns, definatley are aliens there).
A chalk white horse on a hill- the oldest, so she is now called the old grey mare!
Then on to Bath, which is an amazing place, so old and was not destroyed by the war, so really nice old sandstone buildings The place where the romans first came and made the Baths that are still hot and running to this day, but the water is a great shade
of green.

Then on to Wales which was really pretty and absolutley full of sheep and castles! I can not name them all but there was Bo, Shawn, and Gerry... oh sorry the castles, tee hee!... Conwy, Beaumaris, St. Davids, Cheepstow, Tintern Abbey, just to name a few.
Staying in many pubs and homes- B&B's that were twice the age of Australia, just fantastic!A thatched cottage near Avesbury that was 500 years old and a very nice porsche in the garage! We also got to see the remants of a crop circle!
Hoping to get some photos posted at some stage.
Back to London where we caught up for lunch with Dougie and Graheme- my relo's from Kinglake.
There went on a tour of the Tower of London where we saw the Royal Jewels- and no it was not Prince Charles flashing us.... Ugghh you people, get your mind away from the gutter for just one minute can you?! Back to us respectible people......

Then it was time for Papa Bear to depart, well actually we departed first but he was leaving the country! Down we headed to where we are now in Brighton, staying with Lou and Marty (thankyou). Till after Davo's birthday then we go to Scotland to the Isle of Skye where my family is originally from- now do you understand me!? crazy scots!! Will be coming back here after then in aprox 2-3 weeks then it is unknown................

Hey there cuz and cuz in law, I'm lazy and this is my first post. Sounds like you guys are having ball. How much longer are you over there? I bet it wont take long to be over the cold of england. I think I recall you saying you're taking a stop in Thailand on the way home to warm up, is that still the case?
